I have been asked why Bill Letendre, the Parking Commissioner, is listed as a contact for fixing blight in Northampton. The answer is that strangely enough some downtown maintenance falls under the Parking Division administratively, instead of under the DPW as most people would expect. Go figure!

This was done in order to legitimatize the Parking Commissioner position which was originally created as a personal favor to prevent someone from running against someone else for the postion of Mayor. Yes, corruption abounds us.

The assertion that the position od Parking Director was created to prevent me from running for Mayor is absurd.

Pulaski Park and the Nagle walkway are the responsibility of the Parks and Rec dept.
The Parking Division repairs the light fixtures in those areas.
All the parking lots and the garage are maintained by the parking div.
Graffiti on the sides of buildings is the responsibility of the building owners.
